Marilyn – Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass Competition

I designed this glass for the Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass Competition.

It has, inside the ball, the shape of the traditional martini glass. But to drink in it you will have to pour the liquid in the glass then turn it up side down and drink through the little hole. It works like a bee trap for the special alcohol. This glass with its double personality, gives a different drinking experience.

I won the first prize for Belgium and the second international prize. In the Jury were among others the designers Tom Dixon, Marcel Wanders and Tord Boontje.

It was exhibiter in April 2005 at the Superstudio Piú in Milan.

J’ai conçu ce verre pour le concours Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass.

Il a, à l’intérieur de la boule, la forme du verre à martini traditionnel. Mais pour boire dedans, vous devrez verser le liquide dans le verre, puis le retourner et boire par le petit trou. Il fonctionne comme un piège à guêpes pour cert alcool spécial. Ce verre avec sa double personnalité, rend l’expérience de boire un verre différente.

Avec j’ai gagné le premier prix pour la Belgique et le deuxième prix international. Le jury était entre autre composé des designers Tom Dixon, Marcel Wanders et Tord Boontje.

Il a été exposé en avril 2005 au Superstudio Piú à Milan.
